IDBI Fortis Life Insurance
IDBI Fortis Life Insurance Company is the partnership of Federal Bank of India, Fortis Insurance International and IDBI Bank. On Dec 19 2007, the registration certificate was issued by an Insurance Regulator IRDA. According to an agreement IDBI have the 48% stake in venture whereas Federal Bank and Fortis will have 26% stake each. Federal bank and IDBI bank are the major Indian banks whereas Fortis has an expertise of the bancasurance across the global markets. In Europe it is best name in an insurance business and has joint venture in many Asian countries. In India IDBI Fortis Life Insurance is the 18th life insurer.
