HDFC Standard Life Insurance Company Ltd. is one of India's leading private insurance companies, which offers a wide range of customised and innovative insurance products to individual and groups.On 23rd of October 2000 it became the first life insurance company to be granted a certificate of registration by the IRDA.(Insurance Regulatory Development Authority)

Through its large range of innovative and customized products HDFC Standard Life Insurance Company had covered 9,59,000 lives by the year ending 31 March, 2008 and the gross premium income stood at Rs. 4,859 crores and new business premium income stood at Rs. 2,685 crores.
